One afternoon before their trip, while playing with his new puppy, Andy accidentally found a secret compartment in the old grandfather clock that has been in the family for over two hundred years. Curious about the discovery. This story may have happened before, but this time, it begins on a cold and dreary Thanksgiving Day in the beautiful Victorian house of the Logan family, located in the upper-class neighborhood of Concord, Massachusetts. That night, the Logans welcomed their new son, who had been born a couple of weeks earlier and had a distinctive birthmark on one of his arms. They named the baby Andrew and called him Andy. Even though they were impressed by the perfection of his birthmark, they thought it was a simple sign of good fortune without imagining that it was a unique mark, the mark of the chosen one to save the realm of Ethernia (A parallel magical world, which secret entrance can be open it using a music box hidden in the attic of the Logans house.)
On Halloween night, a few weeks before his 16th birthday, Andy receives the unexpected visit of two dwarfs from the realm of Ethernia, the same ones he believed were the product of his imagination (They came to protect him when he was seven years old, but disappeared months later, to avoid people thinking he was acting crazy since he was the only one who could see or hear them). They returned to prepare Andy to face his new destiny, which was about to begin on the night of his 16th birthday. So, helped by Chester (his sixteen-year-old dog and gatekeeper), they unburied a mysterious leather bag from the rose garden of his house. A leather bag that was buried there by the same dog the night Andy was born. They found a note (Riddle) and a small black box inside the bag. By Andy’s birthday, he and his two small friends had solved the riddle written on the note. Consequently, they could open the small black box and find a golden key. This key opens an old music box hidden in the attic of the Logans’ house. Inside this box are the two enchanted rightful rulers of Ethernia and carved the magic words that open the portal to this fantastic world. As Keymaster, Andy is charged with three complex tasks: to save this world from its evil ruler and break the music box’s spell.

The book opens on that tragic 22nd November 1963; when the body of President Kennedy arrived at Andrew’s Air Force from Dallas. The events surrounding his assassination are described by a young agent named Joe Randolph, leaving a profound mark on him for the rest of his life. Then the story goes more than fifty years into the future, to Thursday, November 21, 2016, when the President of the United States is about to travel to Dallas, Texas, to preside over a ceremony to rename Daily Plaza. The man in charge of the president’s Secret Service detail is advance agent Jack Randolph. A twenty-year veteran and second-generation Secret Service agent; his father Joe was part of Kennedy’s detail on that tragic day in Dallas. Jack grew up, listening to his father saying, how they failed to protect Kennedy and how different life could be if he didn’t die on that day.
That Thursday after midnight, Jack leaves home for the White House, to finalize preparations for the next day’s trip, but a heavy storm is pounding the DC area, and on his way to the capital city; he is forced to change his normal route, due to an accident in the expressway. He is convinced that the only person who can ultimately do something to alter the outcome of this tragic event, is the president himself, so to accomplish this seemly impossible task, he has to somehow get to the president and warn him of the imminent threat on his life, but how?
Then, he decided to look for his father and uncle, who were members of Kennedy’s Secret Service detail and also roommates, living in the Georgetown area. They are the only ones he trusts can help him, but it would be a monumental challenge to convince them of who he is and what was about to happen to President Kennedy.
